Not long ago considered down-valley, Edwards is now an epicenter of its own.  Locals have flocked to this spacious community to enjoy a small, yet bustling town loaded with great restaurants, quaint shops, bars and a movie theater.  Neighborhood clubs provide fitness facilities, pools, tennis courts and a golf course.  Backcountry trails are off your doorstep and a paved bike path stretches to Avon, just a handful of miles east.  Many schools from elementary to high, as well as a new campus for Colorado Mountain College provide all of the education needs for a growing family.   Freedom Park, a new park along the Eagle River, attracts kids of all ages with its skate park, dog park, soccer fields, volleyball courts, playgrounds and more.  Edwards has become a haven for young families with many of its homes set upon cul-de-sacs, helping to maintain the peace and privacy residents have come to expect and treasure in a small town.
